MPU – UIS Dialogue Prologue

STAND-BY STATUS PROLOGUE  (POWER ON /COLD, HOT RESET)

UIS waits 2 kind of messages:

GSWDP Software Version message

GSDP  Generator Status message

GSWDP is used to verify that generator’s Firmware version is compatible with control console software version and revision.
To grant safety, software version MUST mach, with the one in the generator.

On GSDP Message receive MPU waits an “IDLE” state.

In this state, following conditions are tested:

Cond.1)
The generator is in IDLE state, BACK-UP RAM is in OK condition (“1” value) and the generator has been switched on with CONFIGURATION SWITCH in ON position; Two alternatives are proposed:

A.    Restore a known configuration from E2PROM

B.    Restore a INIT configuration from EPROM
(A COMPLETE RECONFIGURATION MUST FOLLOW)

Cond.2)
The generator is in IDLE state, BACK-UP RAM is in NON OK condition and the generator has been switched ON with CONFIGURATION SWITCH in OFF position: IN THIS CONDITION THE GENERATOR CANNOT WORK: A GENERATOR CONFIGURATION MUST FOLLOW, OR RELOAD FROM THE BACK-UP RAM, A WARNING TO THE OPERATOR MUST FOLLOW (“CALL TECHNICAL SERVICE” on the control console).
IS IMPORTANT TO DO NOT SEND AN “ARCR” MESSAGE IN THIS STATE.

Cond.3)
The generator is in IDLE state, BACK-UP RAM is in NON OK condition and the generator has been switched ON with CONFIGURATION SWITCH in ON position; Two alternatives are proposed:

A.    Restore a known configuration from E2PROM

B.    Restore a INIT configuration from EPROM
(A COMPLETE RECONFIGURATION MUST FOLLOW)

Cond.4)
The Generator is in IDLE state, BACK-UP RAM is in OK condition (“1” value) and the generator has been switched on with CONFIGURATION SWITCH in OFF position:
THE GENERATOR IS READY TO START A LOGICAL LINK WITH THE CONTROL CONSOLE

MPU<->UIS HANDSHAKING

To start a logical link with the MPU, the Control Console must assert an Alarm Reset Message (40h.ARCR  - read Message ARCR to address 40h)  and wait the generator to evolve in Stand-By state.

To check the MPU state, the Control Console must receive a 200h.GSDP reply asserting a 40h.GSR message (sent cyclically every 0.5”).

In STAND-BY MPU is ready to work on CAN-Bus.

OPERATING

During normal operating, the Control Console must assert 40h.GSR every 1” to be syncronized with MPU.

Some condition will produce an error to this request: follows cases in which 40h.GSR should NOT be asserted:

A. Cinematographic Sequence

B.    Pulse Fluoroscopy Sequence

C.    Continuous Fluoroscopy.

In those case, an asynchronous generator status is asserted directly from MPU, or as a consequence of a MANUAL parameter variation on the Control Console.

If MPU return in IDLE state, this means that the logical link has been broken, and a new handshake procedure must be redone from Control Console.

ASYNCRONOUS MPU MESSAGES

A.                BROADCAST ALARM MESSAGES (10h.BEMDP)waiting for an ARCR from a listener

B.                CURRENT EMISSION MESSAGES (200h.CRDP, 200h.CFDP, 200h.CPDP) during emissions, or Emission Sequences when externally required, or Emission paremeter variotion in AUTOMATIC mode.

End of Emission or End of Emission Sequence (LRDP, LFDP, LPDP)
